wrought again
as bath collections
with armrests
on other sides
of the bed
often heard
echoing
as best sellers


happier than ever
among the wreckage
clutching a teddy
late at the Met


wearing purple lenses
while eating at desks
with 800 guests
in safety-pin dresses
and shredded fishnets


as early-bird specials
for sun-drenched
creative endeavors
only in the sense
of vials of fragrance


witty and jaded as sacred
powder puffs praised
on flawless faces'
grandest claims
having been pried away
eyes glazed...
