Skyscrapers Inches High

" Skyscrapers Inches High "

Skyscrapers inches high
out for a Sunday ride
on revved-up bikes
for short whiles
like longtime
tight-knit survivors
shirtless on Long Island
at graveside databases

offering tastes of various states
waking up and making eggs
angled lankily snapped away
pinching in ingredients of anarchy
sporadically shifting the shims
of lifelong spritzers with salted rims
in the din of pigs ears served crispy

after the barber had finished
surviving Hitler by getting tipsy
with homebuilders on doctors' visits
never having had children
coming back for dinner
thick on the grill gone missing
without a will still living
as silver-haired fit kin
slipping in before the band quits

hindering ladder
access to farm stands
picked by hand
as upticks in demand
in emails on iPads
with goose eggs
now available

as higher yoke-
to-white ratios
likened to leftovers
of free-range poultry
with the contents drained
in destinations
with rolled-down gates
while presiding
at card tables

getting carried away
while dues paying
querulously irritated
rocking in wicker cradles
of the present day

already understated
by code breakers
unaware of dangers
overdosing
on medications
in crisis situations
where glazing
is all it takes
to sustain inflation-
proofed arboretums...
