at first hearing


as atrocities
for the world to see
dragging bodies
from streets
with depravity
having seized
footage routinely


mounting newly found cut outs
in veiled secrecy while shrinking
from fast-talking fair warnings
at the behest of underlying deficits
in pledges as unusual steps
while showing arresting dilemmas
like preventative removal
of both breasts fueling
trends not medically necessary


as forces withdraw
into broader unusually longer
lingerings in the soil
of tangle-veined decay
in weedy places
with predaceous tapers


outstretched while at rest
with pleas to surrender
when negligence is debated
in opening statements
for separate cases
of addiction medications
as frenetic as incarnations
within columned spaces


saved as odd bits
of information
manically jotted
down on paper
with any number
unctuously
compulsive


held in extreme
dihedral V's
darting erratically
raspily rattling
by burrowing
in banks
while being killed
at hatcheries


ritually tapping
rapidly humming wings
difficult to see
roosting nightly
in cavities
of loose colonies
in heat...
