at the heart
of a so-called non-war
within limited uses of forces
reappointed as pinpoints
of global assaults
forged offshore
unremorsefully
written off
as secret
endorsements
of opaque currencies
hacked across
floors and walls
where the living is tidy
fired by design surmised
minus hand-wringing anxiety
sheathed like pythons
opposed to writhing
with the magically dematerialized
strictly bush league
squared off with a woody
flowering tree with shiny leaves
fortified by digging underneath
bloated roadkills
exploding over and over
where the heart isn't in it
somehow dismissed
like the unlikeliest
of infantile ids
wryly whining
divisively as sidekicks
of moneyed bigwigs
lacking credibility
with backstage jitters
in box office hits
vintagely triple billed
soaring villainously
into a trillion roaring winds
diving from cliffs
with slim birds' wrists
furiously flapping
lift and drag...
