for pickled piglets
and jerk chicken
tending to rekindle

as sibling spin
by Aboriginal children
in organic head trips
both good and bad just after days
teenage campaigns
calling soda commercials racist
as a mainstream phalanx
of home-made carbonation
in combination with tomatoes and eggs
invoking get aways similar in shape
to uninitiated pungent marinades
finding their way to extraordinary
flavors browned and braised
ground to a rough paste
with upper body strength
while sopping up fragrant
tablespoons of entrees
with the promises of grapes
as sweet intakes cooked sustainably
in local landscapes of root-eating
aphids and warm-jowl bacon
riveting minute-by-minute
with a hop and a flick
