Prophetic trenches
beyond a wrench's reach
worth every penny
despite rising temperatures
on asteroids in question
unaware of anyone else
dreamed up by bartenders
as testy epithets
in below ground shelters
looking out of step
while gaining momentum
with star anise
as lemon peels climb out
revived without trying
highball sized
unexamined undersides
beard and porkpie
imbibed wildlife
best described
as too thick to sip
with a cucumber spear
downriver tonic mixed in
with gin on a wide rim
at a low simmer
a touch more bitter
sprinkled with mint
and grainy particulates
between pitchers
with citrus
standing in
above suspicion
like cough syrup
drunk through
a long straw
as a saner choice...
