Like unlikely pioneers
never quite
getting to the center
as a rush of pleasures
in treasure chests
of perpetual momentum
for the not necessarily
born again after long experiments


employing one-tenth as many
doubled back agains
writing huge checks
for American intelligence
supporting efforts
of epical zealots



being jeered
in the streets
doused in gasoline
and incendiary beliefs
sparking feelings
of dark delirium


like twilit gibberish
with nefarious omissions
as refusals to fit in
read in one sitting


fabulously ambitious
probabilistic pictures
that do not disappear
in near misses


since the very beginning
of pitiless cognitive dissonance
tasked with killing
in sinister dominions
while seeing much-needed
angel's wings more easily
as central conceits
snappier as sequels...
