" The Rite to See "

The rite to see
all of our modes
of spiritual thinking
as deep curiosities
built on dignity
and in principle
of resting comfortably
attempting to be free
with our trust self-worth
and personal integrity
sleeping calmly
over a long history
of prolonged
life expectancies
after lagging behind haplessly
during opening chapters
of intense practicality
sifting and sorting
distinguishing peculiarities
of universal character
not unlike ready-made answers
of unmasked invisible realities
by taking over our unsatisfactory tasks as controversial matters
like the sexuality
of animals and plants
frequently overlapping
both during times
of plenty and scarcity
propagating philanthropy
rather than supernatural wrath
being dampened by finalities
of theological language
after battling nightmarish giants
diverted by angels of the mourning
appearing on gossamer wings
as throngs of benevolent
messengers coalescing
on streaming crepuscular rays
as a hallowed dawn breaks...
