deceptively alienating
profoundly draining
poltergeist bracelets
on ankles speed racing
down tightly packed pages
of credit entanglements
choosing hair and makeup
for acting engagements
from cafe to driveway
being pushed backstage
lacking in education
even in the most
perfect of places
while ferrying around lakes
feeling carbon dated
during acid rains
falling between
Memorial Day
and Labor Day
way way upstate...
