Not just any peace
of bite-sized frissons
packing wallops
as coup de grâce
with the sticking power
of patrician bonhomie
like smooth Skippy
on spongy slices of white
adhering to anterior
pink palates
of bony oral cavities
separating the nasal
with lidded jars of jams
brown bagged in advance
sipping on paper straws
of waxy cartons
having blown
paper sheathes
through your teeth
toward your neighbors' ears
at the cafeteria in between
studying reading
and playing at recess...
