montaged with the mayhem
of desperately shrunken remnants
bereft of palpable quests
for common sense
seeking benevolence in its stead
preternaturally alert and skeptical
at once specific and general
contents taken out of context
lacking voice-overs and talking heads
kept at a distance by portents
of cobwebbed terror
spinning into consistently
dominant oblivions
heads turning sharply side to side
ruefully costumed in tutus
unscrupulously voided of music...
