" Fine Lines "

Mom & Mom-

Fine lines
citing signs
of " The Sweet
By-and-By "
while crowing
'bout past strikes
as surface-to-air
streaks of white
smoldering
through the sky
for a time
scoffing at such ideas
of having such reach
like blighted expertise
on hempseed
and prickly poppies
for scabies and colic
turning toxic
hobbling extreme
left-and-right wings
despite clear-cutting
"weedle-weedle
weedle-weedle
weedle-weedle"
mimicking
hawk species
noisy shrieks
oak and beech
brooding females
twigs lichens
paper and string
"drink-your-tea
drink-your-tea
drink-your-teeeee!"
vulnerable to poisoning
hanging on forks of trees...
