Mom & Mom-
Mom Suzán
Barely pausing
remarkably poised
refined from ore
right clear to the core
with the drop of a coin
as watched through binoculars
for fiercely loyal four-acrosses
after becoming standoffish
like soapberry hairstreaks
perched high up lulled to sleep
on gossamer wings
with heavy breast streaks
barred and spotted
bobbing and bowing
rapidly chattering,
"quick-quick-quick
illy-illy-illy-illy"
as sparse visitors
verdantly scatter and swirl
in crowd-pleasing
peace-worked worlds...
