for balls 'n' chains
while tangoing in place
versus stamping flamencos
as captivating strangers
simultaneously contemplate
their escape from secret locations
without explanation
after owing favors
like snapped barbed wire
and avoided land mines
along quieted front lines
with curtains rising
revealing rife-ridden stiffs
bearing witness
to satirically targetted
swap shops of melancholy
at drinking bars
named, " So What?! " ...
