Something approaching
replenishing a scene
with whole ideas
proving to be astonishing
and plenty pleasing
like a sharp-minded-
mighty-fine-do-or-die
prickly poppies
for Dutchman's breeches
with Adam's needles
as achingly complicated
endearing old-world femininity
becoming excitingly springy
and magically otherworldly
convincingly at every instant
yet unrecognizably incredibly precise
by interchangeably bumping our way
while defying explanation
as certain phrases reiterated
during painstaking transformation
chafingly sassy held in check by vanity
all the funnier and sadder like riff raff
rooting in gravel riffles
for stargazing minnows
in front of pelvic fins and fat lips
observed lying motionless...
