Groping to find voices
putting language aside
while wearing white
and bowing low tones on cellos
at the endings of sets
touching on affection
with conundrums
as lessons
primarily terrestrial
but then again
seemingly celestial
as psychedelic
unhealthy obsessions
taking short breaths
that can't be helped
when performing a cappella
for inventive nonsenses
while wearing pajamas
with feet to mimic invincibilty
after losing the ability to speak
like shearwaters
on the high seas
generally silent
feeding at night
deep wing beats
long low glides
numbers showing
some decline
smudges of dusky colors
keen senses of smell
flying straight ahead
with rhythmical cadences
echoed on stage
in dizzying arrays
hip-hop doo-wop
clap and stamp
in a flash on Instagram
as women and men
perchance to dance...
