finely windblown
burrowing

sweat-soaked brows
morning workouts
drippy red spirals
rock climbing
blurring boundaries
slowing down
walking paths
shallow sand flats
throwing the hook
landing a gamefish
after spawning at sea
ridged gill openings
rocky reefs
bays and tidal creeks
flamethrowers for heat
both distancing
and enchanting
following leads
in terms of a neat
familial history
confounded by ideas
trundling around
in wheelbarrows
of colored plastics
combining risk
with a gift
for absurdity
appearing in films
along with inaccurate
indigenous descriptions
of untamed natures
like club-ended antennae
and golden eyes
with a reddish shine
attracted to lights
after midnight worldwide
hover fly...
