whispering rumors
of tipsily tabooed tattoos
inked, "Holy Moly"
needled, "Down-and-Out"
with the sanguinity
of alcoholic insanity
making the case
for what remains
while struggling
like others
back in the day
reined in by lawmakers
putting on the breaks
pushing away deranged faces
of unleashed outrage
emblazoned as "metadata"
driving down under-
employment rates
as fractious policy makers
sign off on longer and harder
ideological warrants
patchily fogged-in
non-partisanship
boomed by fundings
of dis-remembered judges
begrudgingly agreeing
to burgeoning
signs of worsening
non-compliance
tugging undertones
as simulations
of over-grown
hackle-raising hackers
awaiting admiration
for deferred gratification
from mongrel goddesses
ardently honored
in discarded
cardboard boxes...
