" Dints in the Distance "

Under skies
bodies got
to moving
in provocative
dollops
of blood orange
duskiness follows
category-killing
pitchfork editions
validating cultishly
hardcore existence
mythical ancient figures
fronting eye-rolling antiwit
while in the lotus position
with the ageless twee
of spangly backup singers
nodding positivity
upliftingly gifted
cottoning to oddball
dints in the distance
like clamorous smatterings
of solar-powered accents
surely steadied
by quizzically
impish repetition
quirkily trimmed
with handfuls
of limpid messy bits
of hard-to-resist
tales of campy slapstick
replete with especially
devilish hijinks
flopping in tidied-up
premieres suffused
with broodingly
calamitous sopranos
chest tattoos askew
as standard operatic fare
unembarrassingly stealing
into scene after scene...
