" Tripping Seraphims "
by Suzán Jiván
Mom & Mom-
Mom Suzán
Squarely into the middle
with victims losing limbs
as Biblical equivalents
of tripping seraphims
stumbling at the finish
in arresting images
like pilgrims transfixed
by ballistically grisly
derelict terrorists
scourged
by unheard
words of utter
uncertainty
while being
bullied
and bawling
during a brawl
as star-crossed
soft landings
with crossed swords
backs to the audience
rejoindered by applause
in a bombed-out performance
unbecomingly dubbed,
" out of doors "
in unusually strong
influential songs
softly soaring
after fleeting across
trigger points
as disastrous zigzags
hailed as unassailable
bolts and nails
never flagging in prayer...
