" Provoked "

Provoked
praised for boldly
onerous
gender-controlled
fashion shows
seemingly serious
in need of feverish immediacy
like runway pieces
for high-end boutiques
including baggy jammys
worn backwards
as shammies
on designer racks
stagnating labels
in half the cases
of hand-made
blue lasers
for over-the-top
presentations
individually portrayed
as single shades
of black jacks in spades
during bridge games
being played
while wearing
light-weight chambray
at card tables
on sunny days
painted and framed
like navy windbreakers
of tailor-made crazy eights
evenly spaced and uncomplicated
in new generations of plainness
interfacing the graceful
in all sorts of ways on estates
of former days in many ways
mundane like white-gloved fame
for slaves put up in the basement
as wind-swept games of trade
at the end-stage
of a non-profit organizations
taking their names
from human remains...
