Penalties Reflected

" Penalties Reflected "

Penalties reflected
in an Etch a Sketch's
post-recessional potential
in rows of pedestals
and along parapets
in moments of sinewy stillness

while living in the unnatural conditions
of half-timbered buildings
filled with fallibilities
spoofed by bobbing balloons
during trips to the zoo
in collaborative groups
trying to feed food
to cud chewers still on view
with blades bit through

with shaky reigns far and away
hastened toward big gains
like long-time patriots
oh how times have changed
as severely underestimated
improved data in the latest
communiques while weighing
complaints of cattle waste
and rattle snakes in digital ages

as compensation
when flights are delayed
by sequestered legislation
becoming too broad
and seriously flawed
in consortiums of last calls
while falling short as false
androidal reports of slaughtered
horses transported from across
the border in an uproar

like leafless stalks escaping
from cultivation in tooth shapes
with fine veins and foul-
smelling flowers that attract carrion
narrowly facing downward
no matter how fallow the ground

reddish brown nearly throughout
whorled around as menstral disorders
except for far north like essential oils
of the so called strongly coarse
yet ornamentally elongated sprawl...
