Presumably via a back door
loosely attached
while tearing up in a chat
yet still a rarity beyond odd
grunts and wheezes
that no one wants to hear
beneath vaulted ceilings
plunging through trap doors
as pools start to form
swallowing up
patches of floors
in a full-court press
performed in drill halls
seen scrambling barefoot
beneath leafless trees
braying and barking
on and on and on
with a lot more at stake
than the mere
deployment of batons
with both subtlety and nuance
while vacuously and obsessively
repeating, "beats me, beats me,
beats me, beats me, beats me"...
