pigeons wheeling overhead
dogs dozing dreamily
across the street

with uncanny intimacy
while peering down
at the ground glass

a hand-held camera
down a two-way avenue
partly groomed by the viewer

in a before-and-after
schematic flipping back
to smoldering anger

almost too much
to take in off the record
and then some keynotes struck...
