Never mind squeaking by
during changes of life
as parents simultaneously decline
setting their sights on the high
end of deadlined noncompliances

under undisputed guidelines
stuck standing by behind
road-blocked landslides
long since denied

as the legitimacy
of familial plurality
sidling down side paths
veering off the beaten track
amid animuses of abandonment

rearing up from the grim past
often raised privately
watching from the stands
cheering at rip-roaring matches

too weak to prepare
for a zealous chance
to grab the vice chair
as ragtag fans'
bugle blaring
fears of failure

shrieking 'round fields
on the verge of catastrophe
pulling hamstrings
getting scratched
while taking baths
in embattlements

roiling the ranks
planning to back
the frantic habits
of new camps

being Tasered prior to X-rays
in an execution chamber
unable to locate a viable vein
under public examination
minus debate

unregulated
poorly trained
clearly aggravated
as surfing habits
for catheters

stemming from sanctions
collected from the web
of contenders
pushing for credit
cardiac arrest...
