Imposing life sentences
fraught with clemency
becoming leniently clear
in rumor mills
built by highly unreliable
eye-witnesses

while racing officials
permit equine nasal strips
and the Met signals
building bigger modern wings

as companies simultaneously
in fact are harshly cutting back
on child leave and taking the time
to care for ailing parents

replete with the complicitly unique
truly encyclopedic
kept unannounced 'til recently
along with the near impossibilities
of far-flung certainties

voluminously unreported
as acknowledgements
of shortcomings
gaining little attention
evoking plenty
of the best of intentions

upping the ante
during downplays
as showcases
of gutsy renovations
upping the stakes...
