Plumed and Veiled

" Plumed and Veiled "

by Suzán Jiván, Mom
& Mom-Mom Suzán

Plumed and veiled
love affairs haltingly tamped
down and falteringly unmasked
becoming entangled within the grasp
of a wedding band outside of a grand
manor of overlapping adages

like old-fashioned
slow dances
as strings of casualties
within out-of-the-way
anonymous hallways

obliquely related
to hard-to-find publications
like ancient havens
of public domain

blooming and fading
bowing and scraping
in windswept places
as captions conveying
veins of origination
on paper in prosaic beiges

illustrating fateful claims
by returning to normal sized one day
like revelatory preoccupations
with order and chaos
on informational labels

quoting inane conversations
of cumulative situations
without the tedium of waiting
as emblazoned pupils dilate
on crude paintings
of women's faces just in case...
