" A Soul-Scraping Roof-Raising "
by Suzán Jiván, Mom
& Mom-Mom Suzán
As befits the original
rippled whiskers
and Cheshire grins
beside tintypes
of Billy the Kid
like wish fulfillment
in limited editions
of footprints
with periwigged
alien skin
as cosseted origins
spiking like camouflaged objects
as composites of diabolical goings on
where shopping is optional
within a full-sized facade
becoming out-numbered
by the runners up in gluts
of pop-up smut
no worse than dull
and not for nothing
unstructured such as subtle
divulgements gone public
like a frustrated mother's
pablum cunningly jump cut
by a soul-scraping
roof-raising exposé
with the vérité
of a remake...
