by Suzán Jiván, Mom
& Mom-Mom Suzán
The smallest but most elaborate
incorporating all manner
over the careworn past
overridden by piety
dead wood, new life
skin tight, secretly mighty
like a benign pied piper
with a softly rounded mouth
gradually astounded
by a balancing act
stripped down mechanically
with the use of gravity
as an outlet for red-lacquered
conviviality, dazzlingly lavish
with languid tendrils down the back
gently batted, unabashedly attractive
as inclined backs, oddly flat
suddenly expansive
thrillingly apparent
with gorgeous contrast
meeting the handle
smarmally deadpan
as slackened arms dangle...
