A Vexing Gender

" A Vexing Gender "

by Suzán Jiván, Mom
& Mom-Mom Suzán

A vexing gender
winning acceptance
over several centuries
of monitored sleep

while picking up twitches
on zebra finches
spiking on a grid
of cheek switches

in face recognition
for brain-mapping apps
like casual combatants
correlated by battles

overlapping as mortality patterns
nothing like programmable happiness
on the way to nowhere
with a clearly nonliving
mechanical heart
as an emergent phenomenon...
