" Telling Tall Tales "

Telling tall tales
as pumped-up
trimmed-down
and teased-out clarity
turning curtly pragmatic
without weariness or passion
prim and pretty
rather than formidable
but betraying no hints
as a skinny-dipper
ending with pianissimo
like ways of thinking in vocalise as captivating experiences
closer in spirit
with tricked-out
gravity and wit
far slicker
than kissy-kissy
mimicked
prissy intimacy
likened to full developments
of the senses off the record
carried in procession
as a passionate expression
pealing of bells
oils on canvas
moods of humanity
well within proximity
to divergent traditions
body and spirit
utter naturalness
documented in pictures
hung out of position
and slightly tipped
considered highly provincial
at once earthly and regal
deemed to be
sacrificial altarpieces
unusually complete
extreme simplicity...
