of high-powered binoculars
while bird watching
over salt ponds
eyes shaded
by a palm-frond
hat tramping
through gnarled
mangrove roots
tending to wrecked
schooners
as restoration
movements
all in tribute
to woodland cooers
perched
on triangles
of tin roofs
topping off planks
of tongue-in-groove
bedazzled by parrot blue...
