infused with pungent pink petunias
in use as olfactory memory enhancers
for common mom de guerres
like brown twisted nails
for battling heirs
as battering rams hammered out
by bankrupted budget plans
likened to belated picked-up tabs
daubing away tears
over years and years
for helicoptering migrant mule deer
while wishing to amiably flit
onto pigment-thickened
water garden lilies
sketched out posthumously
by marzipan-hardened scalawags
being asked, "Is it larger
than an almond bread box?"...
