Communicating at a Distance

" Communicating at a Distance "

Communicating
at a distance
behavioral signals
as sand skinks
swim into sand hills
and scrub lizards
lay clutches of 2-8 eggs
in precisely timed combinations

conceding a ruff-and-sluff
after considering ducking
given the trumps and lumps
of a double dummy

like tumbling classes
for stage hands
as lurid details
of cyber warfare
by underdogs

defending territory
against malls
during hard-fought-
six-minute-long trailers
both sad and joyful

silly-goose lasso wielders
as crazy things happening
in bits of bric-a-brac
mimicking lizard hatchlings

being fed vegetable matter
insects and carrion
as wary inhabitants
of dry prairie bushland...
