Postcarded Topographies

" Postcarded Topographies "

by Suzán Jiván, Mom
& Mom-Mom Suzán

Testing out
uncomplicated responses
to full-bodied repertoires
of constantly curving arms
encircling the heart

as a high honor
of intellectual property
for extremely positive
animatronics
in amusement parks

while hitting stop and start
with a lot of hip-hop
on postcarded topographies
of the vaguely elegiac

traditionally staid
by lack of innovation
placidly hazy
as no match
for the neoclassical

skittishly looking back
to timid passages
faces scratched out
on shifting pantheons
in long arcs
of gentle glissandos...
