shimmering forth
as purple-tinted water
ambivalent about disorder
like an idealist of the first order
both tedious and revelatory
while sifting and sorting
becoming frayed
by sudden acclaim
stolen and stormed away
as inexhaustible trepidation
exuding scorn for boredom
in a weathered doorway
of self-portraits as windfalls...
