across the river
along the top
of a landmark
with the flagging dancers
from the middle class
of a nomadic capital
frayed to the point
of invisibility
keeping their wits
turning their heads
toward modulated
gothic domiciles
as surprisingly
low leaps
in a lovely suite
with affecting ease
coated with feeling
off white sleeveless
feet springing
morphing seamlessly
between weight
and weightlessness
wrists overhead
at the helm
of a picturesque
center...
