Seemingly drab
but popping
with personality
and detail
at the outset
credited with invention
as shuttered Bethlehem
only microns thick
knocking down bridges
relying on invisibility
as odes to armies
after separating soda pop
from aluminum cans
along with increased
rates of cancer
and miscarriage
upon being spiked
with lime phosphates
or sodium hydroxide
from deep inside
a " Silent Spring "
oxidizing within the grip
of corrosive mystery...
