Mom Suzán
A greater presence
that never quite happened
going off the handle
with youthful vitality
hastily planned
as, " not-so-bad "
scrubbing the ragged past
only, " after-the-fact "
appearing to be, " no accident "
sprawling off campus
on permanent alert
for personal security purposes
ravaging artifacts
with a fierce passion
of discredited practices
like, " no matter "
by hundreds of thousands
no longer feeling nostalgic
during a guttural back-and-forth
pre-designated as, "Awesome!"
like one strong voice enjoined by "not-so-subtle" warnings...
