based on marvels
slipping into the fray
as cascading throwaways
somewhere south of cozy
in complete control
but only in the quieter moments
of all you need to know
after seeming to boast
about overgrowth
like dream zones
with mousy odors
ovate to lance-shaped
cardboard saints
in comfy slippers
penciled in at risk
of standing still in a remix
of, "Please! Please! Please!"
too painful to be healed
by ho-hum utopias
thrown over-the-shoulder
like mundanity at home
getting antsy
filling misspelled shopping lists
with insecure grins
dismissed as grim
feeling routine and thin
predictively shoehorned in
as a tough sort of gift
all in one sitting...
