" A Bewildering Array "
by Suzán Jiván
Mom & Mom-

A bewildering array
in the first place
on the first day
vaguely fractal shapes
deviating from strip frames
with swipes of paint
and smiley faces
breaking free of flatness
by buzzing around flowers
like bas-relief's budding bundlings
signaling bulging cantilevering
championing pioneering hierarchies
flagrantly chafing
under strong fragrances
bound by cables
encased in gallery spaces
of iffy reputations
replete with tawny fritillaries
after warily overwintering
neath hardy weeping willow trees
brimming with green fringings
cycling with grayish spines
and horns above the eyes...
