" A Grueling Day "
by Suzán Jiván, Mom,
& Mom-Mom Suzán
A grueling day making a stake
for election day stirring chaos
with heated exchanges
by implant makers
like misstatements
about enslavement
drawn and painted
as certified reputations
discreetly displayed
by tolerative curators
serene on the surface
less so beneath
unfolding on hand scrolls
over and over
within the dark spaces
of a basement
during renovation
secreted away
as one far more famous
and much less greater
nothing like paradigms
avoiding the swipe
of a deriding archetype
by diverting the ear and eye...
