part imagination part logic
portrayed as netted ostriches
on outcrops along with fishy-
tasting pelican eggs
as painted on ancient caves
domesticated caged turkeys
trucked on Thanksgiving Day
heading for tables
on neighboring estates
having been in no position
to complain prayer versus prey
as mummified remains
chamber upon chamber
based on incarnation
via sacred avian transmigration...
