The changes are telling
signaling a presence
all but empty
scantily dressed
dewy fleshed
protruding chests
as metaphorical repressions
of triumphal illicitness
like an alleged satirically edged
altered perception
seen as a sculpted bronze head
on a grey pedestal
mimicking the jet set
minus solvency
displayed disparagingly
as heretical deities
once revered
in hallowed hilltop museums...
