Mom Suzán
Stepping back
after nearly
missing half
of the once
magical
having lost
richness
and power
becoming
washed out
having gone up
the water spout
now feeling
down
in the mouth
post
finale
while frantically
flapping
white wing bars
and frenetically
mimicking
squeaky peeps
in a series
dwelling in dense
suburban shrubbery
yellow rumped
slurred upwards
all along bordering
tidewaters
repeatedly warbling
oh so mournfully...
