atop mock ups
of Hercules Beetles
while pushing up
striped student sleeves
mimicking static electricity
feeling immense relief
from increased understanding
of carrion-smelling plants
and tracked urine trails
as modus operandi
for flowers and raptors
replete with strategic trappings of intelligence gathering
after tacking sails
across water hazards
of clammy bivalves
kept at bay...
