with something a bit
more permanent
like an ultimate
ink-happy tat
of lace-like black
and flanged fabric

as meatpacking
pan handlers
with belly dancers
in full command
of glances at the band
in rad fashion

being dressed
in berry bouclé lamé
on fantastic runways
created backstage
with the flinch
of a camera click

for a milliner
during a fitting
by baby sitting
the unfit
and being willing
to split
the difference

with too much whiskey
and too little chicken
for dormant twitters
as delicate business
for missives asking for "It"...
