"At Once Tempting and Ponderous "
by Suzán Jiván, Mom
& Mom-Mom Suzán
At once tempting
and ponderous
within a few blocks
of a simple pretty twist
out of any old thing
never before seen
being re-released
in two parts
of a core product
paired a lot of late
as an off-stage mosaic
gone ga-ga
in a crashed party
wearing saris
playing with what
was once sacrosanct
color blocked
with palazzo
in silk or cotton
seeking to solve
the emptiness of pockets
with turned-up wattage
while looking smart
in millennia-old garb
worn by maharanis
and maids alike
in limited editions
of cashmere and silk
opposed
to unsightly bits
of un-stitched
traditionalists'
figures of ilk...
