thoroughly

coming up
a nickel short
in the offing
being diligently
initialed and numbered
deemed in good condition
with two pinholes
in the wide margins
as if in relief
of minimal wrinkling
brownish-black ink
etchings on zinc
compositions complete
replete with scratchy
cross-hatchlings in the trees
of posthumous printings
clear-cut
as annual
rings
on rendered
stumps
as supernatural
beings
evoke virility
and fertility
epitomized
by schematized
effigies
while fired
clay figurines
laugh hysterically...
