in spider-like forms
while shimmering silver
on pedestrian perimeters
gilded historical figures
of commercial districts
mimicking pigeons
poised and still
bronzed infantrymen
portraying bravery
and camaraderie
surrounded
by bench seating
along gritty streets
posted with exuberant
graffiti and poised
architectural friezes...
